The second annual Damascus Adventure Moto DAM 200 is back in June 2026! Register online today.

Join us in Damascus, Virginia on June 5-7, 2026 for an epic dual sport adventure motorcycle ride into the mountains surrounding Damascus. Follow a 200-kilometer route along the scenic, winding back roads around Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee. The DAM 200 is a moderate, ride-at-your-own-pace, self-guided route on a mix of paved and gravel surfaces. It’s big-bike friendly and a real delight for beginners and experienced riders alike.

Come to Damascus and ride last year’s route anytime at your own pace. We have hundreds of miles of good riding nearby! The event team will put together with a new epic route to share with you in 2026. Start and finish your ride in Damascus. Follow scenic, winding back roads with a mix of paved and gravel surfaces: Government Road, Big Creek Road, Dennis Cove Road, McQueen Gap Road, Alvarado Road, and more. Register for DAM 200

​Early bird registration is $179 per person. DAM200 registration includes the ride route on Saturday, plus primitive tent camping from Friday to Sunday, Saturday breakfast and dinner, one raffle ticket, and a DAM 200 event t-shirt. Lunch and refuel options available along the route on Saturday.

All DAM 200 proceeds go toward supporting the Town of Damascus in long-term recovery efforts from the impacts of Hurricane Helene in September 2024.

Saturday

7-9am Breakfast and Late Arrival Check-in at Tent City.
8am Welcome, ride instructions and safety briefing.
9am DAM 200 ride begins, staggered starts, ride at your own pace, GPX file provided.
6pm Dinner, live music and raffle at Appalachian Heritage Distillery & Brewery.
​Evening bonfire at Tent City.
Optional camping at Tent City on Friday & Saturday nights is included with registration.

Sunday

Tent City closes at noon.

What will the route be like for the ride on Saturday?

200-Kilometer Dual-Sport Route

The DAM 200 is a 200-kilometer self-guided route along the scenic, winding back roads of Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee. Follow a moderate ride-at-your-own-pace GPS route on a mix of paved and gravel surfaces, big-bike friendly, and a real delight for beginners and experienced riders alike.

All riders will get a Garmin GPX file shortly before the event weekend. The GPX and route map will also be available at check-in. The DAM 200 ride is self-guided, run at your own pace, with a staggered start. There will be options for lunch and points of interest along the way, and we’ll have DAM 200 signs posted on the route.

What types of items are included in the raffle?

DAM200 Event Raffle

We have some great raffle items donated by our sponsors! All participants get one raffle ticket and additional tickets are also available for purchase for $5 each or 5 for $20. You’ll have the chance to win tires, helmets, tool kits, gift certificates, bike cleaning packages, and more! Must be present to win.

What is included with camping at Tent City?

DAM200 Tent Camping Option

Camping is included with DAM 200 registration on Friday and Saturday nights at Tent City, a primitive tent camping area at the edge of town. Bathhouse with flush toilets and showers nearby. Less than half a mile to downtown Damascus. Tent camping and motorcycle parking only; no vans, campers or RVs. There is additional parking for other vehicles and trailers nearby at the Wilson Street lot (see below). 

Are there other lodging options if I don’t want to camp at Tent City?

Lodging in Damascus

Damascus has all you need, whether that’s a full kitchen, a home-cooked meal, waterfront views, trail access, RV hookups, or a pet-friendly stay. Other overnight lodging is available in Damascus and is the responsibility of the individual participants. Where do I park if I want to haul my bike(s) into Damascus on a trailer?

Trailer Parking

The Town of Damascus provides free long-term parking for up to 30 days at two lots in town. The Wilson Street lot is open for trailer parking during the DAM 200. Overnight camping is not permitted in long-term lots.
